Case Study for Unified Backhaul Performance Optimization
نویسنده
چکیده
In an attempt to optimize network performance of delivered 2G and 3G services and reduce operating costs, today's mobile operators are searching for aggregation and concentration alternatives for the backhaul network. This paper explores a solution that would provide improved traffic aggregation at the regional hub sites in order to optimize traffic backhauling to the network core.

Single or Multiple Frames Content Delivery for Robust and Secure Communication in Energy and Spectrum Efficient 5G Networks?
This paper addresses the four enabling technologies, namely multi-user sparse code multiple access (SCMA), content caching, energy harvesting, and physical layer security for proposing an energy and spectral efficient resource allocation algorithm for the access and backhaul links in heterogeneous cellular networks. Although each of the above mentioned issues could be a topic of research, in a ...
متن کاملCell-Free Massive MIMO with Limited Backhaul
We consider a cell-free Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system and investigate the system performance for the case when the quantized version of the estimated channel and the quantized received signal are available at the central processing unit (CPU), and the case when only the quantized version of the combined signal with maximum ratio combining (MRC) detector is available at th...
متن کاملMultistatic Cloud Radar Systems: Joint Waveform and Backhaul Optimization
In a multistatic cloud radar system, receive elements (REs) measure signals sent by a transmit element (TE) and reflected from a target and possibly clutter, in the presence of interference and noise. The REs communicate over non-ideal backhaul links with a fusion center (FC), or cloud processor, where the presence or absence of the target is determined. Two different backhaul architectures are...
متن کاملRandom Caching in Backhaul-Limited Multi-Antenna Networks: Analysis and Area Spectrum Efficiency Optimization
Caching at base stations is a promising technology to satisfy the increasing capacity requirements and reduce the backhaul loads in future wireless networks. Careful design of random caching can fully exploit the file popularity and achieve good performance. However, previous works on random caching scheme usually assumed single antenna at BSs and users, which is not the case in practical multi...
متن کاملBackhaul-Aware Decoupled Uplink and Downlink User Association, Subcarrier Allocation, and Power Control in FiWi HetNets
Decoupling the uplink and downlink user association improves the throughput of heterogeneous networks (HetNets) and balances the traffic load of macro- and small- base stations. Recently, fiber-wireless HetNets (FiWi-HetNets) have been considered as viable solutions for access networks. To improve the accuracy of user association and resource allocation algorithms in FiWi-HetNets, the capacity ...
